Music On Main

After a few year's hiatus, the Music on Main Street program is back once again and will take place throughout the summer on Thursday evenings, 7 to 9 pm. A variety of musicians will be on stage to sing and play for your listening pleasure. Bring your friends and family for lots of fun and stroll through the lovely shops downtown at your leisure.

Mark your calendars for Music On Main: July 9, 16, & 23th, August 6, 13 & 20th, 7 - 9 pm.

July 9th will feature LETHAL DOSE, a well-know band from Millet, performing Country/Rock.

July 16th: Bloozhound, a Blues band.

July 23rd: Station Wagon with a Classic Mix.

August 6th: Myra Marshal Band featuring Blues.

August 13th: The Macreet Band performing Rockabilly.

August 20th: Panache, a Big Band sound.

SNOWBIRDS

The Snowbirds team arrives in Camrose Tuesday, July 28th. On Wednesday the 29th they will attend a Youth picnic to give autographs and visit with Air Cadets, Cubs, Brownies, and members of the Boys & Girls Club. Also on the 29th, the Snowbirds perform their 40 minute aerobatic demonstration along with the appearance of the famous Hawk One: F-86 Sabre Jet. Thursday, July 30the they will be visiting various locations such as hospital and log term care residents in the morning, and performing a Flat show (no Aerobatics)which will be great entertainment for the large crowds attending Big Valley Jamboree.

Founders Days Festival 2009

Celebrations at Camrose Founders Days Festival, August 7th, 8th & 9th will mark 100 year milestones for many Camrose organizations and individuals. Daily activities take place Downtown on Main Street, Rudy Swanson Park, Camrose Centennial Museum and the Camrose Railway Museum. At Founders Square we will honour several Founders with plaques added to the walls of the fountain. Schedule of events to be announced soon.
